*Distant places may be discussed with additional instructor's transportation expense.

**It is free to switch back and forth from face-to-face lessons to online lessons whenever you like. However please note that all the conditions stay as face-to-face lessons while taking online lessons.

Starting Your Custom Japanese Lessons

STEP 1   INQUIRY

Submit your request via the "Book Now" button. Shortly after, you'll receive an email from CHABASHILA with details about the next steps.

STEP 2   FREE CONSULTATION SESSION

You'll meet online with Amy-sensei for a consultation, where she’ll explain our course terms, schedule, cancellation policy, and payment options. During the session, she’ll also do a quick level check by chatting in Japanese. All lessons are tailor-made, so based on this session, she’ll consider the most suitable textbooks, curriculum, and learning methods for you. She’ll also select the instructor who best matches your learning style and needs.

STEP 3   TRIAL LESSON

Enjoy a 60-minute trial lesson with your instructor. If you’re ready to enrol right away, this step is optional.

STEP 4  START YOUR LESSONS

If everything feels right, we’ll send you an invoice. Once payment is received, you’re all set to begin regular lessons with your instructor!

Terms & Conditions

TUITION FEE

The price shown above is for one‑on‑one lessons in Japanese yen and includes a 10% consumption tax. This rate applies to  lessons held between 7am and 11pm. Each 60 minute lesson is 11,000 JPY per session, with a minimum purchase of 12 lessons  required. Trial lessons are available for 6,600 JPY for a 60 minute session, and you can try up to two instructors, one lesson  (60 minutes) each.

CANCELLATION POLICY

There is no cancellation penalty if you notify your instructor at least 2 hours prior to the scheduled lesson. These lessons can be  rescheduled to another date for free. However, if you cancel later than that or do not attend your lesson within the first 20  minutes, it will be considered a no‑show (including issues like transportation problems, sudden illness, and natural disasters) and will be charged 100%. Example: If your lesson is scheduled from 17:00 to 18:00, notifications up to 14:59 can be rescheduled for  free. Notifications from 15:00 to 18:00 (after 17:20 is considered a no-show) will be charged 100% as "Cancellation Too Late".

PAYMENTS-DUE DATE

Tuition fees shall be paid in advance in units of lessons you plan to take, 7 business days before the commencement or renewal. 

PAYMENTS-METHOD

Please note that bookings are payable via bank transfer, LINE Pay, PayPay, PayPal, Wise, and cash. For bank transfers, LINE Pay,  PayPay, Wise, and PayPal, your bookings will be confirmed upon receipt of payment. All bank transfer charges are at your expense, and only Japanese banks are available. A 5% handling fee will be added for PayPal payments of less than 12 lessons. Cash  payments are available for bookings of more than 12 lessons at a time. Once made, tuition fees are non‑refundable and cannot be transferred to your family, colleagues, etc.
